Early-growth comparison of diploid and triploid rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in South Korea

چکیده
Fast somatic growth is important considerations for successful and competitive aquaculture industry. In rainbow trout reared in South Korea, triploid induction was used to suppress negative influence of reproductive maturation body growth. However, the effects triploidy are visible both mature fish developing juvenile fish. Thus, it also explicate effect on during early-life stages trout-alevins fry. Rainbow fertilized eggs were subjected polyploidy checked by flow cytometry. Diploid alevins fry separately tanks with constant freshwater through flow-through water system measurements done from zero days after hatching (DAH 0) until DAH 134. The egg-yolk morphometrics alevins-yolk length, yolk height, volume weight-were statistically similar (p > 0.05) genotypes 0 22. total weight better 92 but thereafter, had a significantly performance < over diploid completion study at With that, did not alevin regions around 3 months hatching, considerable enhancement subsequently apparent.

Comparison of reproductive development in triploid and diploid female rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss.
The diploid rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss reached sexual maturity 3 years after hatching and its oogenesis underwent four stages, which were oogonia, primary oocyte, secondary oocyte and egg. Reproductive development and hormone changes of 4 to 35 month-old female O. mykiss were investigated using histological and radioimmunoassay methods in order to provide a theoretical and practical basi...
متن کاملSpinal deformities in triploid all-female rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
A batch of experimental rainbow trout was found to have a high level of spinal deformities. An equal deformity level was found in fish from the same batch, but reared at the fish farm from where the fry originated, suggesting that the all-female triploid status of the rainbow trout might account for the high level of deformity. Many factors being of physical, chemical, environmental or genetic ...
متن کاملEffect of thermal stress on some hematological parameters of diploid and triploid Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
Temperature fluctuation is one of the most common stressors during fish transportation and aquaculture condition. Triploid rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) get more attention because of its sterility. In this study, 24 rainbow trout belong to diploid and triploid group, average weight 13±0.23 g were subjected to temperature change from 13 to 20 ºC, and kept under tension for 10 min. Before a...
متن کاملRainbow Trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss
Rainbow trout are classified as Oncorhynchus mykiss, and as such belong to the same genus as Pacific salmon, and to the family Salmonidae, which includes Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), various trout (Salvelinus sp.), Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus), Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus) and whitefish (Coregonus sp.). Rainbow trout are native to areas around the North Pacific Ocean, from souther...
